Seeking Software Rec’s for Email Newsletter on Mac

S
After a hiatus, I’m relaunching my author newsletter and I’d love your rec’s for software to use. Going back to it after a three-year break, I find the service I use barely works on my computer: pages keep freezing. It’s probably because my computer’s “old.” In short, I want a different option.

Here are my basic desires:

* To put text and images together in simple configurations (1 column or a photo next to text, including re-sizing images).

* To add links to specified text or images.

* To send this via email so that it appears formatted as an email newsletter as Mailchimp does (vs. a PDF attachment).

* A program I can download to my Mac, not cloud based, compatible with Mojave 10.14.6 or earlier. (I’m going to stick to that OS until I physically have to replace my machine.)

* A program I can purchase once and not have to buy again if I don’t update it. (I want to purchase a product, not a service.)

Would be nice, not needed:

* It would be great if there were an automatic way for people to subscribe and unsubscribe, ex. through a widget on my website (which is WordPress). However, I can manage it manually if need be.

* Supports embedded video.

* Opensource or other developer with a socially responsible business model.

Thanks!
